Artists Chip and Deborah DuPont both born and raised in Central Texas, met in a college art history class in Austin, Texas and have been creating art and memories together for over 30 years. We do not collaborate on our art; however, we always say that it is helpful to have a seasoned eye from someone whose work you respect just a few steps away.
The DuPont's work out of a set recycled shipping containers at the end of a gravel road in Shiner, TX (Yes, where they make the Shiner Bock).
Deborah and Chip travel in the USA and abroad every year for inspiration. Recent destinations include multiple regions of: Italy, France and Spain; as well as, Argentina, Uruguay and Puerto Rico.
This is part of who we are together. Our children grew up traveling the world and our art has evolved and grown with us traveling as well. This lifestyle comes out in different ways in our art. For Chip, he steals the colors and textures of the older and less complicated world and brings that into his work. Deborah captures the emotions and nostalgia of seemingly simpler times and translates that into hers. We believe the accumulation of these experiences is important to each and every work of art we create. We hope you enjoy them and they bring some of that experience to you as well.
